Oh my! The lovely and talented and really funny Valerie Valdez, over on As the Moon Climbs has presented me with TWO blog awards! I’m over the moon. (See what I did there?)
I’ve been thoroughly enjoying her web serial Broommates so what a nice surprise this is.
Here are the rules of the awards:
- Thank and link back to the person who gave you this award.
- Share 7 things about yourself.
- Pass the award along to 15 bloggers who you have recently discovered and who you think are fantastic for whatever reason! (In no particular orderโฆ)
- Contact the bloggers youโve picked and let them know about the award.
What a challenge this is going to be, coming up with seven interesting things about myself to share. You might want to skip this next bit and get on to the 15 excellent bloggers.
- I have a kickin’ (do we still say that?) natural white streak just at the front part of my hair.ย I loves it Mr. Frodo.
- I generally detest pop music and have never watched American Idol in my life but I’m an Adam Lambert fan. Go figure.
- I love raw carrots and cooked mushrooms. I will NOT eat cooked carrots or raw mushrooms.
- I have a “thing” about odd numbers, don’t really like them. But both my kids and I were born in odd number years and two of us on odd number days and that bothers me.
- The name of my street is [Son’s Name] [Daughter’s Name] Lane. I told my husband that if we goof and have a third kid, she/he will have to be named Lane.
- I’ve been sitting on this post for more than a week because I can’t think of any more interesting things about myself.
- I’m apparently a lot more boring than I realized.
Now for the blogs!
- Diary of a Desperate Exmoor Woman
- Shadow Unit – A Fiction Experiment
- The Lockless Door – Rebecca Hamilton
- Robert James Russell
- Word Exorcism – Shianan Fae
- 1 Story a Week – Christopher Blanchard
- Attack of the Muses – Monica Marier
- taojoannes.com
- Tasty Rob Recipes
- Madison Woods
- The Distracted Writer
- Inside the Margins – John Hardy Bell
- Post-Apocalyptic Publishing
- Noelle Pierce
- Gene Doucette
See, the blogs part was easy because there are always interesting people to be found and those in the list above are good people too, in addition to being good bloggers. My thanks to you all for your contributions and thanks again, Valerie!
Hey, HUGE thanks…. *blush*
Love your list…
Am so with you on the carrots and mushrooms (but mushrooms have to be interesting ones and not the crappy little button jobs). Raw carrots are heaven; cooked are just bleeuaghhh.
But no, no, nooooo – HATE even numbers. Evil even numbers.
Think Lane is a great name. In fact, might nick it for a character in a book…he he….
God only knows how long it will take me to do this….am in a procrastinating period at the moment… ho hum….xxxxx
Hah, you’re not boring! I had to watch American Idol during the Adam/Kris debacle because I was at my dad’s house and they are super obsessed. I actually VOTED for Adam by text on a borrowed phone. I kind of have a thing about odd numbers, too, but I do love the number three. It seems nice and round somehow.
Enjoy your awards! You earned them. ๐
Agree, you’re not boring at all! And thanks for the mention! I think your site is mucho cooler than mine, so it means a lot that you thought of me ๐
How lovely! Thank you for the award ๐ And what a lovely cup for my virtual tea…
Gosh! T_T I’m so stoked to receive this award. Thank you for the kudos! You’ve been a fun person to follow w. your 5-min challenges and such. I’m flattered to be ranked among such stellar writers.
~Monica
Hey, thanks! I’m chuffed to pieces (to borrow some Britspeak)!
How neat! My first blog award… I’m so thrilled ๐ Thank you Leah. Now I’ll have to sit on it a little while to think up 7 things about myself that would be interesting for others to know, LOL.
They’re well deserved, all of you. Thanks for sharing your blogs and your writing!
Leah, I am finally getting my award picked up and my post made – sorry it took so long! And I’m really enjoying this but am having to steal an idea from you about what to tell about myself ๐
